Dexter D. Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is…
I impersonate Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and Bernie Mac.
My most prized possession is…
The chain with my dads picture on it. He passed away when I was eight.
My wackiest fan encounter…
I have a couple but the craziest one is when somebody drew hearts and “I love you, Dexter!” in red lipstick on my car!
My most embarrassing audition moment was…
probably Disney’s  ‘Minutemen’, because I was the only person in the room dressed like a geek. Hey, it worked!
The thing that people would be surprised to know about me is…
that Paul Newman was my mentor. He opened up so many doors for me.
The person involved in Standing Ovation that made an impression on me was…
Sal. I didn’t know he was that great of an actor.

More about Dexter…

Born and raised outside of Atlantic City New Jersey. A quick meeting with Dexter is heartwarming as he greets one with a warm smile and radiates a kind human spirit.

Since Dexter was a young boy aside from studying, singing, dancing and acting he would volunteer to raise money for many charities including the Paul Newman’s Hole in Wall Gang. Recently Dexter was part of the Standing Ovation cast that not only performed in a live show for the   Ranfurly Home orphanage in the Bahamas but stayed on to lend a hand cleaning, carrying mattresses and supplies to each child and in his usual caring way spread the message of hope.

Dexter has performed in Minute Man for Disney, Cadillac Records, Standing Ovation, and is currently filming Joyful Noise in Atlanta, Georgia.
